(Formally know as Sufi dancing)
The Dances of Universal Peace, which were once known as Sufi dancing, are dances intended to inspire peace and love of one's self through all of our reflecttions/manifestations. This is to say that the general intention of the dances is to honor the Divine in every face and aspect that we meet. They are a moving meditation, or prayer, focused on many aspects of Love, Peace, and Divine qualities. Some people find the dances to be like folk dances, simple, easy to learn and follow. (Every dance is taught and danced that night, so there is no experience necessary.) They are universal, in that they are a collection of 1000's of dances from every culture, country, religion, and language. As the Divine has no specific nationality, race, nor language, a night of dances may include sacred phrases from any language, including Arabic, English, Hindi, Spanish, Hawiian, Tabetian etc.etc.
